Regular Mats

Cream, Black, or White Core

Regular matboard is the standard paper board of the industry. It is buffered to have a pH neutral (acid-free) core and backing paper.

MatShop carries three core colors in stock for regular matboard.

Cream core matboard is the standard of the industry and offers the widest range of colors.
Black core matboard is slightly higher in cost, but has a very black core.
White core matboard is higher-priced than cream cores, but has a bright white core (similar to that of conservation matboard)

Our regular matboard is manufactured by either Crescent or Nielsen Bainbridge. It suits many applications where conservation matting is not necessary.
